Welcome to the WSU Recording Studio The WSU Recording Studio owes its intriguing architectural design to the world-renowned studio design team at Russ Berger Design Group of Dallas, TX. The design of the facility is on a par with some of the finest studios in the world, but a beautiful studio is just a room until the equipment arrives. In 2002, the School of Music and Theatre Arts was quite fortunate to receive a generous grant from The Allen Foundation for Music to purchase the electronics and complete the construction of our studio.
All of the equipment was carefully selected and installed in early 2003 by
Recording Engineer, Jeremy Krug. The studio boasts a powerful
ProTools-based recording system, Yamaha DM-2000 digital mixing consoles,
full JBL 5.1 surround monitoring, an extensive collection of new and
vintage microphones, and much more. The studio is equipped to handle
nearly any type of musical recording from classical to jazz, folk to funk,
rock to rap. The space, equipment, and talent is in place and ready
to record. |
